Holidays are getting closer, corporate events are already starting in many companies, and the internal clock has launched a countdown. We’ll be compassionate yet?
Today is the birthday of the famous Indian theater and film actor Raj Kapoor. Surely grateful spectators will also present him some prize this year: proclaimed by the Indian Charlie Chaplin, he collected all the prizes he could during his lifetime, but he is still awarded posthumously.
Let’s remember today the legendary actors of the twentieth century, who are remembered and honored to this day.
Raj Kapoor (India)
It is logical to start with a birthday. Kapoor did not become a star because there was no one else. He really knew how to subtly convey emotions without sometimes uttering a word: the movement of an eyebrow, an expressive look, a “talking” smile. And best of all, the Kapoor actor was able to reveal the Kapoor director – the film “Tramp” in the year of its release was a hit in world cinema. Continue reading
Today is the birthday of Iron Arnie – a famous actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Five years ago, the Austrian village where he was born declared July 30 the official day of Arnold. The authorities even wanted to erect a monument to the Terminator there. In popularity, Arnie is perhaps superior to many “brutal” actors. But let’s see who could still compete with him.
If Arnie is a symbol of a bodybuilder, then Stallone was actively engaged in popularizing boxing (did you know that in the Rocky project he is not only the leading actor, but also the author of the script?), For which he was even introduced to the International Boxing Hall of Fame last year.
By the way, who is not afraid to look weaker than other tough guys is Sylvester. It was he who released the film The Expendables in 2010, which invited Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Lee, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts to participate. Steven Seagal did not get into the project, because he did not agree on something with the producers (for a fee, apparently!), And Nicolas Cage himself asked for it, but was refused by Stallone. Jean-Claude Van Damme, although he refused to participate, but then he nevertheless starred in the second part, which will be released in August this year. Continue reading
People’s artists – who are they? The names of some are known all over the world, others are known only in our country or in the circle of people of art, some, alas, are completely forgotten. Once, the only reward was applause, the recognition of the audience, the love of the people and memory. The first People’s Artist in Russia to receive the honorary title People’s Artist of the Republic in 1918 was Fedor Chaliapin. In September 1936, on September 6, the title People’s Artist of the USSR was established for “those who particularly distinguished themselves in the development of Soviet theater, music, and cinema.” Surprisingly, it was the actors and musicians who were the first to receive the highest honorary title in our country! Folk teachers, folk artists and folk architects appeared later.
First People’s Artists of the USSR
The founders and leading actors of the Moscow Art Theater opened a list of 1006 People’s Artists of the USSR – Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, Ivan Moskvin, Vasily Kachalov, opera singer of the Bolshoi Theater Antonina Nezhdanova. Continue reading
