Beauty Dossier: Wilson Brothers
Luke, Owen and Andrew were born in Dallas in an ordinary, but in their own way, creative family. The parents of the boys were close to art: their mother was engaged in photography, and his father worked as a manager of a television channel. As a child, the Owens attended a school for boys named after St. Mark. Brothers Luke and Owen became famous for their roles in comedy films, their career began with the film “Bottle Rocket” (1995). Having played together in this tape, they continued their creative path apart. Owen was a little luckier – Ben Stiller was in his friends, who regularly invited him to star in his films. But Luke received many offers from directors. The older brother, Andrew, was less successful than the younger ones, but he also accounted for a bit of fame. But let’s pay attention to everyone by scrolling through their beauty dossiers.
Andrew Wilson – 54
Andrew is the oldest of the Wilsons, but it is he who is least known. From early childhood, he himself wrote plays and fairy tales, which he then presented to the audience – friends and family members. His first serious project was the picture “The Last Submarine” (1993). Like his brothers, he starred in Bottle Rocket. However, Andrew gained fame and love of the audience after his roles in Rushmore Academy and Tenenbaum Family. He starred in episodic roles in many films and, together with his brother, directed the comedy The Wendell Story. In 2014, Andrew and Luke shot the short film Satellite beach, which received many nominations and awards at film festivals in the United States. His last projects: “The Dark Road” (2016) and “The Trap of Time” (20017). While Andrew is quiet in the acting field, however, he does not sit idle, choosing California for a quiet life, he is raising his son Joseph, who in 2003 was born to his wife, a native of Africa, Nno Obiamiva. At the moment, the couple is divorced.
Owen Wilson – 49
The name “Owen” means “cheerful and loving communication,” and it is ideal for the future birthday. From early childhood, the young man was characterized by unrestrained energy, constantly getting involved in adventures and fights. After one of these feasts, his nose was broken in two places, which gave him an unusual shape. Owen’s parents always believed that children should be allowed a lot, because it’s childhood, but Owen’s tricks undermined their patience, and they were ready to apply tough measures to their middle son. Owen studied poorly and often found himself on the verge of expulsion. Before graduation exams in geometry, Owen pulled out answers to questions and distributed them to classmates. Teachers at the school board voted unanimously to expel Owen from school. He had to finish his studies at another school, and then was completely sent to a military academy. And only in his student years, Owen settled down, met Wes Anderson, who carried away his cinema.
In 1996, the brothers presented James Brooks the same short film “Bottle Rocket.” One of the creators of the Simpsons gave a full-length film of $ 5 million, but the tape did not pay for itself. Nevertheless, she brought the Wilsons brothers some fame, which they used to try to start a Hollywood career.
At first, Owen had a chance to act in serious films such as Armageddon (1998) and Anaconda (1997). However, Ben Stiller confused all the cards to Owen, having met with a beginning star, he invited him to star in his paintings, creating for him the role of a comedian for a long time. In 2000, Wilson appeared in the film “Meet the Parents” (2000), playing in it with Stiller. Of particular popularity was Owen’s work with Jackie Chan on the film Shanghai Noon (2000) and its sequel Shanghai Knights (2003). Wilson did not forget about his friend Ben, he gladly accepted his invitation to work together. And in the film “The Tennenbaum Family” (2001) all three brothers managed to play. The screenplay was written by Owen, and the film even received an Oscar nomination.
So that Ben and Owen could fully realize their comedic talents, director Todd Phillips directed the action movie Starsky and Hutch (2004), which tells about unlucky policemen who accidentally manage to catch criminals. In 2006, Owen played one of his most notable roles – the cowboy Jedidiyu in the movie Night at the Museum (2006). After three years for the project “Night at the Museum-2” (2009) Owen and Stiller again worked together. Unusual was Owen’s work with Woody Allen on the movie Midnight in Paris (2011), in which Owen’s character meets Salvador Dali, Francis Fitzgerald and many other famous artists of the 1920s. And yet the moment came when Owen decided to get rid of the role of a comedian. The action movie No Exit (2014), in which he played along with Pierce Brosnan, talks about an American who ended up in a certain Asian country at the height of a military coup and, together with his other fellow citizens, was put on the list to be shot.
